Three Guys and Four Generations of American Girls

On Thursday, July 9, we split off - boys and girls for a day of fun. Hunter and Travis got to spend most of the day with Grandpa doing boy stuff - pool and wii and pizza and who knows what else... while the girls headed into LA for lunch at the American Girl Place.

In 2012 it was Helena's first time to this magical place... this year it was Emilia's first time!!!

She wanted to experience all of it - so of course drinking milk from her baby's tea cup was absolutely a must-try!

Madie has been here at least four times... so she's a veteran... but she's still patiently enthusiastic with the younger girls!
Great-grandma buys all the 4th generation girls an American Girl doll when they're little - Helena's Bitty Baby has always just been called "Bitty Baby" (not surprising since we've got a "Lambie", "Beary", "Doggo"). But while we were out, Helena decided her baby needed a name so she asked everyone to put forth a name so she could choose the best... we heard several, but it was a unanimous vote for "Cali" - in honour of California. It was actually very sweet and special to have her cousins and Aunts helping her name her baby.
Helena is one special girl who really enjoys her special days!!!

We couldn't resist up-grading to the 'party pack' so the girls got to blow out candles on the super huge cake (6 for Helena and 3 for Emilia - and it's only pure luck that Helena only blew out 6 so Emilia had some too) - plus with the party pack their babies got new shirts and balloons!!! This place knows girls!

 Four Generations all together!!!
And some well dressed baby dolls thanks to great-grandma!

1st and 4th Generations - my grandma LOVED this day out with the girls! What a special privilege to spend this beautiful day together!

One pretty poser - sporting her new hairstyle which makes her feel "light as a feather"! She is way too funny!!!

Three happy cousins - 3, 11, 6!!! Two out of the three fell asleep on the car ride over - can you guess which one didn't?!?!

What a day! Grandma made it in time for Marcus' All-Star football game and we made it home in time for bed! Day Three was half a day of fun... Day Four is another full one!!!
