The First of Several Birthday Parties, A Taiwanese Reunion, The First Seaside Service and a Round of Oh Heck!

After a big day out at Sea World, we were all happy to lounge around the house for a while - though a sunny Saturday doesn't leave too much room for inside lounging - certainly we played at the pool for a bit... and I might've even gone for a ride...

The relaxing day turned into a relaxing evening catching up with Rachel Yang and Melody Hsu whom we haven't seen since we left Taipei in 2010!!! What a small world!!! It was such a blast that Rachi and I "happened" to be in CA at the same time... and how fun that Melody now lives here and works at Universal Studios and hooked us up at the end of our trip!!! Thanks ladies for making the trek to OC and for catching us up on your God Adventures!!!

Of course, the last time the girls saw Helena she was only 2... and now look at her!?!

We took advantage of Travis' 9th Birthday Party to catch up with each other and for me to catch up with other friends... thanks Ambrose's for letting us all come along!

Here's the Birthday Boy! Travis is such a cool guy - he's level headed and fun, he's a master on the wii and in the pool... and he really made Hunter feel right at home!

This was our first beach party, but we went to two other birthday parties and celebrated an additional 6 birthdays all while we were home in these three weeks! That's a lot of celebration!!!

When the party was over we said good-bye to the girls  - maybe the next time we see each other will be back in Taiwan? Maybe New Zealand? California again????

Sunday we went to church and the kids got to hang out with more cousins and friends at The Camp! It's always a home-coming when we return to Seaside Community Church... lots of hugs and smiles! After church, mom took Helena and I along on her Sunday "ritual" with Madie and Rebecca Bradbury. This was one ritual Helena loved being part of!!!

Most Sundays, mom or Aunt Francine take the girls to visit Apache - they feed him, groom him and give him a bit of exercise. It's apparently a WIN-WIN for everyone - especially Apache! Hunter must've been playing with Travis and Grandpa while we were horsing around... and I'm certain there was more time in the pool again!!! The kids absolutely LOVED having the pool accessible!

Once the kids were in bed, we had some Boyer Family Fun with Cherise & Bryan Marsh and Grandpa & Grandma over for a rip roarin' game of Oh Heck! I'd already been there six days and hadn't played a single card game so we had a blast laughing over Whittaker's Chocolate and Dad's special "Popeye Ice Cream".

Horrible photos but Grandpa's smiling because he was the winner!!!!
