Sandwiched between events and plans were the moments that we found ourselves just enjoying...
like the two afternoons spent at the Ambrose's pool while everyone else was still at school,
(but of course they loved it more when the kids came home and played with them);
the baths with cousins after spontaneous (or not) play times;
lunches out with Grandpa - the Vietnamese noodles were a hit;
our walk from the Vietnamese noodle place back to the Grandparents house;
just taking in the sites and the funny Americanisms;
the day we finally made it to the pond to 'go fishing' and didn't catch a single thing other than moss;
or waiting for the hotdogs, pizza, salads and other tasty treats for lunches at Sam's Club or Costco where we'd already been sponsored bulk sized necessities;
and just the hanging out at other people's houses playing with their toys...
Yes, these are all part of the precious memories created while on vacation!
And for these in between moments we are grateful!
