Santa Came Early

My parents never arrive empty handed. Never. And of course, Christmas means they are even more heavy laden with goodies. Some of the packages were just things we ordered from Amazon for free shipping... but most of it was fun stuff that Grandma could just not wait for the kids to open... so on Monday morning we opened up most of the presents in typical Christmas morning style (minus the good cooked breakfast and Christmas story). And boy... did we all make out like bandits!

The kids got these goodie bags that seemed a bit like Mary Poppins' famous bag.

When we asked if the Grandparents could help Hunter upgrade from Duplo to Lego I knew they'd find a good starter set, but Oh My Goodness... this was a boy's dream come true - 1600 Legos!!!! Wow... We'll see what amazing creations he'll create now!

Helena got a few real 'girlie'things including these magnetic 'paper dolls'. She's going to have loads of fun while Hunter and I do our schooling in the mornings.
We even opened up the gifts from Auntie Sasha... oh what fun!!! Thanks for the fun stuff.

Thanks Uncle Matt and Aunt Tori and cousins for the super fun sleeping bags! These will come in really handy during our chilly winters while watching dvds snuggled on the couch.

We also ordered a doll house for Helena with hopes that she'll be pre-occupied for much of the mornings. Tony's great at toy assembly - he's willing to read the instructions. This was a good purchase, but I should've paid closer attention to the details because it only came with a few items of furniture... looks like Helena will have a few 'star chart' rewards ahead of her.
While breakfast was being prepped - good ole porridge - they broke into the box of Legos and got started! Yahoo... you can bet you'll be seeing a bit more of these here in the future.

Wow... what a way to start a week! Thanks everyone for the fun gifts!!!
