Mom and Dad said they wanted to see a bit of our lives in Wellington... well, our lives are about people so we wanted our Life Group to come over and meet our folks, so Monday night we hosted a BBQ so we could all just hang out together. The weather turned out to be stunning which made for a perfect last event of 2011.
Kiwis are great at BBQ... and everyone understands what to bring when you invite them over for one. Rodney made himself comfortable at the BBQ and helped to serve some of the kids.
Ella and Caitlin went to town on their sausages!
And we all went to town on Sue's beautifully delicious pavlova!!!
It was fun having Merrin meet up with the Life Group since she's the one who looks after the kids so we can lead this group on Tuesday nights. And oh boy, how relieved am I to have that rattan table outside rather than in!?!
After dinner, we played a new game that mom and dad brought for us called "Say Anything"! What a blast!!! Our Care Pastors, Dave & Shelly, also came over by this stage and we all just laughed and laughed and laughed!
What a way to end the year!
We're looking forward to more life together in 2012!
