Farewell For Now

All good things must come to an end...

well, when you're only on holiday that is definitely the case.

 

I'm so glad we decided to come home from San Clemente on Thursday night! While the rest of the family was packing up the campsite, we did a load of washing, picked up Tony's altered suit, met dad at Costco for one last purchase then put everything into the cases or boxes and put them out into the corridor so that we could spend the rest of the day relaxing with them when they finished!

 

 

 

We got everyone onto Telegram so we can keep in touch across the distance... which is a lot of fun!

 

 

Then we had our last meal together,  last pool gathering...

Amber loaded up her van with all eight of our luggage items and mom & dad drove with her to LAX to drop us off. Tony had done such a great job of distributing the weight we had no problems at check-in... which meant we had a couple of hours to sit, wait, sit, wait... before boarding.

 

 

 The flight to Brisbane was somewhat uneventful - Tony sat in the emergency exit row so he could stretch out his legs and the kids & I sat a row or two behind him in the middle row where we stretched out over each other. We all slept a lot more than the trip over... and still enjoyed a few movies in the meantime.

We had a quick turnaround in Brisbane and there we go...

 

 

Home at last!!!

 

 

Well, we made it home - our luggage didn't... boohoo... thankfully it arrived first thing the following morning!

Thanks Dad & Mom for making this trip happen... we LOVED every moment with you guys.
