Mike's 40th fell earlier in the year, but by May we were all ready to celebrate!!! The Coss family came down from Auckland and we Wellingtonians came up for a weekend in Taupo! What a wonderful weekend with dear old friends...
We drove up after work on Friday and arrived before midnight in Lake Taupo...
On Saturday, after a relaxing morning around the bach - we headed out for Mike's big birthday event - a parachute jump! We all enjoyed cheering him on...
Hannah and Helena hit it off as if they'd seen each other yesterday rather than a year ago. It's fun to see how the 'cuzzies' all interact with each other.
We had a great time at the pools for a couple of hours in the rainy cold conditions... then returned to the house for a nacho dinner and birthday cake!!!
We had to leave on Sunday while the rest of the crew had another day or so... It was a great holiday for the Coss' too - as they left for Fiji the following week.
We are so grateful for dear friends.
