A Family Weekend...

Before Tony headed out on his Brazilian adventure, we needed a bit of family time.

Part of Saturday 22 November was spent shopping for our Big Hearts at Christmas 'instant Christmas' box through Arise Church. Of course, to make it a Clark adventure we decided we'd walk through our township to do these errands. It would've been much more fun if it was a sunny, non-windy day - but oh no - it was overcast with gale force winds blowing us along! We had a few other errands before our big shop but when we finally made it to New World we managed to blitz the list (with a few lessons in gratitude and generosity and perseverance tossed in).

So the whole idea was to fill a box for our breakfast club families across Wellington with all the items they'd need to have a Christmas meal - including a chicken, veggies, desserts and decorations. It was a fun initiative by the church to bring practical love to our community.

On Sunday 23 November, we went to church in the morning and hit Brooklyn Park for Bethany Milne's 1st birthday party pizza picnic! It was fun to hang out with heaps of friends on a such a sunny day. Later that evening we hit Lyall Bay for our last evening together for a month...

 it was a wave jumpin'...

 rock skimmin'...

 hair blowin'

 family fun night!

And then... the inevitable...

on Monday the 24th of November Tony got into a taxi and we said good-bye for a month.
