I finally sent an email update... thought it was a fun way to start the year!
It’s been soooooooooooooo long since we’ve done an update
like this, we figured it should at least be interesting. Let’s see how much you

Alright –
so it’s time for the answers…
1.
We
have been living in Wellington for over 3 years and we currently plan to be
here for a while. We bought a house so please change our address in your books:

2.
Well
– there are four of us and we haven’t had quadruplets, but we do have 4
chickens who have recently joined our household! CONGRATULATIONS
to all of you who’ve had new additions to your families! Oh and on the note of
age – Tony will have a significant birthday this August!
3.
It’s
true, Jen did home-school Hunter for his first year and a half – but when we
moved in June 2013 we decided to put him into school. In February, when the
school year begins here, both children will attend Miramar Christian School -
he will be in 2nd grade (year 3) and she’ll be in Kindergarten (year
1).
4.
Everyone
in our family has a bike – in fact three of us have 2 bikes each! We are
grateful for this neighbourhood where we can ride around easily. The kids and I
ride our bikes to school as often as possible (less than 10 minutes) and they
love riding to the waterfront to watch the fishermen. Tony and I are just
starting to get back into cycling so hopefully two of those 7 bikes will be
seen speeding along the peninsula and beyond.
5.
Tony
has been working on a special project this past year with the Department of
Prime Minister and Cabinet. And as great as it’s been, it is a project with an
end date so we know that he will be transitioning to something new. (And since he broke
his ankle playing in a basketball league last year, I don’t think he’ll be
quite up to the marathon yet – but who knows when the kids may get a Chinese
lesson!)

With
all the great cafes in Wellington (plug for visitors), Jen spends very little
time there. Between her involvement with Arise Church (women’s Bible study,
Breakfast Club, organising teams), home-schooling, and other family commitments
she is most often found at her computer in the kitchen (the beauty of laptops,
eh!?).
